My sister, Dottie sent me another dispatch from South Africa. She's at a university there until early summer with a group of African Studies college students from Minnesota. Unlike me, Dottie is endlessly patient when taking photos. Knowing her, she waited in this hallway for a looong time waiting for this story to unfold. Here. Meet Estie & Jake.

What a joyous little face! Thanks for sharing

Lovely photos from your sister. Kind.
On paintings below. I like the color, it's unexpected. I'm inspired by what you are doing!
I'm always telling some story or another. Most times I don't know what they are until the painting is done.
Wish my house was pulled down around me, feels more like falling down... (too much work/job this week)

No other words are needed for the photos. How wonderful that Dottie captured so much of this exchange. It reminds us of the preciousness of moments. Lucky everybody

Jake looks like the kindest person imaginable. This is such a wonderful story - I love how he leaves all the attention on Estie.
So kind of you to share. I had tears in my eyes.
