jiffy corn muffin mix + blackberries + peaches + egg + splash of milk =
This in 20 minutes!
I'll have a side of berries with my blackberry muffins please.
And a big stack of envelopes and assorted ephemera which arrived the other day from France by way of London. Everything you see here plus an old blue silk frock of mine are going to be sewn together into a travel journal. The details are very unclear.
I'm thinking security envelope pages. Some vintage red pom-pom trim I just inherited. Maybe a few plastic marquee numbers.
Sounds like a catastrophe in the making. Whatever! While I'm sewing, the reception is bound to come in clearer. Naturally, I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for all those weather reports. My meterological bliss grows larger by the second. Here in Los Angeles we've got mostly cloudy skies. Lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s tonight with Southwest winds around 15 mph in the evening. I woke up to soft drizzle. Love these odd climate quirks we're having lately.

The way you put the colors together in your post today just made my day. I looked and looked and looked again. Thank you for the lovely images.

Blackberries! You had me at blackberries! Then you added all the other yummy things not to mention all the photos of fabric and flowers and I'm a goner!
I'm also lovin' this unusual weather we're having. Although I could do without the intense winds.

Good lord....
well..I have to admit you didn't steer me wrong with the strawberry jello cake...
A mysterious green vine has started to grow in the side garden... rumor has it that it is indeed a blackberry vine.. I'm watering it..waiting and watching...

catastrophe - I haven't come across that word in a while. Immediately calls to mind Zorba:
"Am I not a man? And is a man not stupid? I'm a man, so I married. Wife, children, house, everything. The full catastrophe."
"The full catastrophe" how wonderful!

Looks very yummy and I have a hunch your journal will be very yummy, too.
Here in SF we are being blown to shreds by incredibly strong winds, day after day.

50's to 60's, with cloudy skies??? I wish! We're still sitting at 91 degrees here in Texas and it's almost 8:00 in the evening. No rain in sight, just long incredibly hot summer days.
Love that pile of mail goodies - your travel journal will turn out superbly, no doubt! Still enjoying the awesomeness that is the Stencilry class, even if it's too darn hot for me to go outside and spray right now.

Wow. Those papers are good enough to eat!
I loved the Los Angeles weekend. There's nothing like coolness, cloudyness, peeking sunness, a breaking in the clouds, then hot, then a cool breezy evening, then the moistness on the whispering blade the next morning... AWESOME! These are the days that punctuate lovely L.A. springs. Thanks for the reminder of how lucky I am.
